the pool

We left Panama City on Sunday (along with everyone else in the city, it seems) but before we checked out we went down to the pool and let the boys get good and water logged.

I was a little worried about how Jackson would take to the water considering he hadn’t been in anything bigger than a kiddie pool since he was Jonathan’s age, but it turns out my fears were completely unfounded.

See?

And thus ends our vacation. We had a fantastic time and made a lot of great memories. When I asked Jackson what he liked best he said “diggin in the sand and the firewarks!”

And did I mention the cuisine?!? No ferret food for us this vacation! We ate fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, popcorn shrimp, shrimp BamBam, shrimp fettuccini… you get the idea. And if that wasn’t enough, we stopped to get lunch on our way out of town Sunday, and I ordered fried fish, fried shrimp, french fries, fried okra, and a fried corn pone. I swear I didn’t realize it until the waitress set my plate on the table and I’m looking at Caleb going dude, all the food on my plate is FRIED! And he’s all umm, that’s real smart, Miss Gall Stone Queen.

Um, yeah.

Then I spent all morning Monday puking my guts out and cursing the inventor of the word “Fried”. But that’s another story…
