the best kind of saturday

We packed Caleb off to Washington DC yesterday, where he will spend the week touring various government agencies, whom the unit will interface with while in Iraq. I am fairly green with envy that he gets to visit the capitol, but try as I might, I couldn’t fit both boys and myself in his duffel, so after we saw him through security at the airport we trooped back to the car and came home.

And boy, am I thankful that he didn’t have to leave until Sunday so we were able to have him home for an ENTIRE DAY on Saturday. And guess what. Someone let me sleep in until nine o’clock. NINE O’CLOCK! And when I woke up there were banana nut muffins in the oven.

No one can make the boys laugh like he can.
