It’s amazing what a difference it makes in our day when we get to talk to Caleb. You’re gonna laugh, but I swear the sun shines brighter and the bird sing louder. Even the boys seem better behaved.

Just after I’d snapped this picture, Jack and Jon had a scuffle over who was going to sit closest to the monitor. As the yelling and chaos ensued and I tried in vain to restore order, Caleb goes “Boys! Stop fighting!”

And they did.

From 7000 miles away, they still mind him better than they mind me. Nothing’s changed. And ironically, that really warms my heart.
