Now that the weather is nice, we’re revisiting our old haunts from last year and discovering some new favorites as well.

This is the Lake Oliver Marina, where the boys like to eat lunch and watch the fishing boats being launched. And I count how many times in one hour I have to answer the question “Mommy, can we get a boat?”

We are here at least once a week, but this is the first time I’ve taken my camera.

The marina is surrounded by pine trees, which means if I spend five minutes taking pictures, I then get to spend an hour cleaning pollen off my lens and camera body.

Which is just the reality of spring in the South.
