random unrelated things

Hello Monday! I thought we were done with sickness, but sickness is apparently not done with us. So we are on “lockdown” until Wednesday. Bring on the orange juice and Wall-E marathon.

I found Tiggy running in her wheel when I got home at 12:30 this afternoon. I think she’s managed to mix up her days and nights. I flipped on the light and for half a second we both stood there, deer-in-the-headlights style, and then she vaulted off the wheel and scrambled into her igloo. I felt like the all-powerful light-god. Do I want to correct this, or not? It might be nice to see her sometime other than between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 am.

It’s crazy weather season again. It was cold for a few days and now blazing hot again. My air condition is confused.

Also, its raining. Finally. I mean, the grass really needed it. And I now have an excuse to put off mowing for another day. I can’t stop comparing my yard to my neighbors’ yard, which leads to panic. Then I remind myself that in a few weeks when he deploys, their yard will likely look like mine. Maybe Chris and I can have Army wife mowing parties.

I came across this picture while rooting around my hard drive earlier. Old pictures are the best. I miss my brothers!

And speaking of pictures, I saw one on facebook this morning of my husband. He was standing around with some buddies in a very muddy location. There was a gun strapped to his leg. Hello, morning dose of reality. I may never get used to seeing that. Ever.
