starting off June with a bang

091

Last week was like a page from the Dr. Seuss book Oh! The Places You’ll Go! I adore that book, specifically these lines:

“You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

I’m also loving the stage we are in this summer. There is a never ending supply of activities and the boys are finally old enough to be up for almost anything. Last week we spent more of the daylight hours away than we did at the house.

Week recap:

*One head over heals tumble down the tallest slide in Monkey Joes

*Two tickets for the train ride around the zoo

*Three night stay in Atlanta including…

*Four wrong turns while leaving the “Big Walmart” (says Jack), also known as Ikea

*Five parks visited, in four different towns

*Six sandwiches consumed near large bodies of water

*Seven pieces of bread thrown into the fish pond

*Eight hundred and thirteen mile car trip played who-knows-how-many times

*Nine “cool rocks” collected at the state park

*Ten hours logged in the car

*Eleven public bathrooms visited

*Twelve hours. That’s how long Jack and Jon slept last night

Please note: if the rest of June is anything like the past week, July will be here, like, tomorrow.

Thank you for the picture of IKEA. It is one of my favorite places. I haven't been there this summer, but sure have been thinking about it. I hope you had a great time there and got your eyes full.

Wow, you guys really pack in the fun! I'm so impressed!! I wish I had done a better job of acclimating Oscar to different places, he's VERY MUCH a home body (my fault). We're starting to branch out a little, but it'll be a long time before we catch up to you! I loved this post! I MISS my road trips! "Big Walmart" made me laugh out loud. :)
