I know it seems I’ve spent 12 months in state of perpetual waiting. Waiting for Caleb to call. Waiting for R&R to arrive. Waiting for this deployment to end. Waiting for another day to pass.. just being honest here.

But sorting through our pictures from 2010, I’ve discovered this year has been about so much more than just the waiting. There has been real joy, honest laughter, precious memories. My life has been enriched in such a way that I know beyond a doubt this year wasn’t for nothing.

Pretty sure I wouldn’t change a thing.

And that’s saying a lot.

Happy New Year, from our family to yours.

I'm so glad I've been able to watch you go through this deployment. You've given me a lot of great ideas for next time--the kids thing kind of changes things. I've so enjoyed you and your kids and your blog...and you're kind of an inspiration to me. :) happy new year and happy end to the deployment! I'm counting the days with you.

You made me cry again, how do you keep DOING THAT? :) Sweet Jackie, you are an amazing mom, a wonderful wife, and I feel blessed to know you and get to peek in like this. Thank you for this window into your beautiful family and heart. I love you. A VERY late Happy New Year to you, as well.
