welcome home

It’s a rare thing indeed when I can’t think of an adequate way to express my feelings—the absolute joy that was yesterday morning. Too anxious to sleep, we were up before dawn, running on excitement, waiting with dozens of other families in a crowded drill hall. Then, searching the masses for that one precious face, and suddenly there he was, hugging me close and whispering “It’s done, baby.”

This is how it was.

I want to thank my brother Philip for shooting so much of the footage in this video. Thank you. Thank you. These preserved moments are so precious to me and I wouldn’t have them without you.
