Well, we’re off to a weekend getaway, courtesy of Uncle Sam. I’d be excited, except I’m not. These government trips are kind of like those free vacation packages, we’ll totally put you up in a nice hotel and pay for your dinner… but, SURPRISE! You gotta sit through five hours of briefings Saturday morning.

The drudgery. I can only listen to “10 steps to integrate your soldier back into your family” so many times before I resort to playing angry birds on my phone.
