thankful

We spent the weekend on the lake with my family and it was wonderful. We celebrated my brother, Michael, and his 21st birthday. I managed to put the wreck out of my mind until sometime Monday afternoon when I had a serious low, woe-is-me moment. I am fortunate to be surrounded by family who offered advice, loaned me a car, reminded me to just be thankful. And my husband who, when I despaired about the damage to the RAV, sent me the following text:

Me: “Any good news?”

Caleb: “I still have my family. That’s good.”

And I have mine. Happy birthday, Mike. I’m thankful for you!
