the last days of summer

010

It’s been a long time since August meant something other than just another month in the middle of the year. Now it ushers in the season of 6:00 AM lunches, stop and go traffic, and afternoon pick up line. I am hanging on to every minute of summer that is left and spending time in a place where the wake up view is blue all around and having wet hair all day long is the appropriate style.

Happy 20th birthday to my brother, Philip. (No more teenagers, Mom!)
