Me: “Lets get in the car. We need to leave for school right now.”

Jack: “I need to hang up my jacket. Will you do it for me?”

Me: “Sure. I’ll hang it up as soon as I get back from dropping you off.”

Jack: “Thank you for cleaning up after me. I know I’m supposed to do it myself so thank you for helping.”

In that moment he could have asked me to do his chores for the rest of his life and I’m pretty sure I’d have said yes.
