I had a good reason for not blogging yesterday.

I was busy turning the guest bathroom tub into a chick brooder.

It didn’t take us long (maybe a week) after getting our two hens to realize we wanted a couple more. Turns out chickens are rather endearing. Who knew. This time I wanted to start with chicks and allow the boys to raise them by hand.

These are undoubtedly going to be PET chickens if the initial fascination is any indication. The chicks are three days old and must be under the heat lamp constantly so one quick hold and photo was all I would allow for now.

Coop expansion imminent.
