Caleb
Or “Hamp” as he’s usually called these days. Strange nicknames come with the territory when you are the property of the U.S. Army.
Caleb enlisted 9 years ago and started out as a combat engineer in the Reserves. His unit was activated shortly after to take part in the initial invasion of Baghdad, but due to political relations/military circumstances I can’t retell with any accuracy, his unit spent the year stateside doing port security instead.
We got married while he was at that post.
Caleb left the Reserves and joined the National Guard several years ago. He now works as an Intelligence analyst and was deployed to Iraq during 2010.

Jackson
Our 5 year old dreamer. Jackson loves computers, Legos, scientific books, and all things related to peanut butter.
He loves to play outside, and is fascinated by bugs of all sorts... as long as they remain outdoors. Spiders in the house are his number one nemeses. Jackson is on a first name basis with our pest control guy, Jeremy.
He is very thoughtful and kind, always considerate of others and quick to ask forgiveness for wrongdoings. Jackson is a rule-follower.

Jonathan
3 years old and always into mischief, Jon spends his days keeping me on my toes. He constantly pushes his limits and fears almost nothing. The two exceptions being dogs, of any size, and vacuum cleaners.. the big yellow ones.
Jonathan loves blocks, planes, trains, and crayons. He is sensitive and sweet, cuddles with a little brown bear, and recently gave up his pacifier, which he calls “Bee”.
Follow-the-leader is Jon’s motto. Find Jackson and you’ll find Jonathan trailing right behind. He’ll try anything once, but doubtful he’ll ever eat a pickle again.

Jackie
Mwa.
I’m a small town girl, who dreams about big cities once in a while. Spend most of my days loving being married to a soldier, and appreciate living in the forest.
My passion for photography wars with my introvert personality. I dream of shooting the grand canyon one day.
I listen to way too much country music and sometimes wear cowboy boots around the house just to make my kids laugh.
I believe there’s beauty to be found everywhere, if you look hard enough. Flowers are nice, but my kids are gorgeous.
