outtakes
About once every three months I make time to sit down and archive our family pictures. It’s a daunting task, one I put off for as long as I can, but when the capacity bar on my E drive starts inching toward the red I know it’s time to clear out the folders or else risk the death of my computer.
It sometimes takes me several hours to wade through three months worth of pictures. And I’m always torn about what to keep and what to delete, but I know if I kept every picture I ever took I’d fill up my external drive in no time. So I delete, delete, delete and try to only keep what I really love or think I might use in the future.
The cool thing about going through pictures from three months ago is I almost always find something I didn’t see before, or passed over quickly because it wasn’t exactly what I was trying for at the time.
Sometimes these outtakes just make my day.
